Recruiting the right person doesn’t come cheap.  In 2014, a report by Oxford Economics estimated that replacing a staff member costs, on average, £30, 614.  And if the new person is a poor fit, the costs will only increase.

Recruitment interviewing is thus a critical management skill.  But many managers haven’t been taught the simple skills that make interviews successful.  Many, indeed, dread the prospect of interviewing.  As a result, recruitment interviews often fail to achieve the best outcome.

You need to know how to prepare, run and evaluate the recruitment interviews you hold.  This workshop will give you the skills to do all that.

You’ll learn by doing.  As well as holding group conversations and engaging in reflective exercises, you’ll prepare and run interviews as interviewer, interviewee and observer.  You’ll give feedback on your colleagues’ performance and benefit from feedback on your own.  You’ll walk away with a sizeable toolbox of powerful techniques and a quantum uplift in your confidence.

This interactive workshop has been designed for all managers, including
  • those who have the need to understand the foundations of successful interviewing;
  • managers who need to brush up on their interviewing skills to improve their effectiviness;
  • others who have never had the chance to learn the fundamentals of what makes a good interviewer; and
  • newly appointed managers needing practical experience.
The workshop will also be helpful for HR operatives who are responsible for interviewing staff within their organisation.
