LEVEL 2 DIPLOMA IN CREATIVE MEDIA PRODUCTION

The course is made up of eight units: four core units and four specialist units. The specialist units enable you to study particular areas in more depth.

5 - Video Production

6 - Audio Production

7 - Print Production

8 - Advertising Production

10 - Factual Production for the Creative Media

11 - Creative Media Production Project

You will also take additional qualifications as part of your course programme including: Welsh Baccalaureate and four Key Skills.

How you will gain the qualification

All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded at Pass/Merit/Distinction level.

What qualifications you need

Once you apply, you will be offered an interview, given a place on an introductory ' taster' day and an entry assignment, which must be successfully completed in order to gain a place on the course. You will normally need to have at least one of the following:

A BTEC Introductory Diploma in Art, Design and Media

A standard of literacy and numeracy supported by a general education equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grades Ds.

Where to next

A BTEC First Diploma provides a good grounding to go on to a more advanced course such as a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, or A levels.
