The creative industries in N Ireland are emerging as one of the fastest growing and increasing important sectors of our economy. The Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production will allow you to progress to a career in the media industries, in one of the following specialist areas:

If you are accepted onto this course without a Grade C or above in Maths and/or English you will be required to complete the relevant Essential Skills qualification. This will be a compulsory part of your timetable.

Special Features
As part of this course, you will take part in the annual Cinemagic workshops and also get a week's work experience in year 2 of the course. Examples of placements include Antrim Guardian, Ballymena Times, Ballymena Guardian, Q Network Radio, Loft Sound, JPR (Public Relations), Lyle-Bailie Advertising Agency. We also have guest speakers and special away days to Film festival screenings provided by QFT (Queens Film Theatre, Belfast).
The practical nature of this course means taht during your time with us, you will produce creative media products ie vidoes, animations, audio recordings and print and web based materials. The media products you'll make on the course will be used by external clients such as Q Network Roadio and other local businesses that we produce promotional videos for. All the other produces you produce will go towards building a portfiolio that will help to secure a place at university and increase your employability.
