Community Radio Production Techniques (BTEC Certificate)

A hands-on practical course where you will develop the skills needed to produce audio packages, jingles, stings and radio programmes for community radio broadcasting. The course includes time broadcasting online through the college website and through the Media Department's Transmission Radio Station.

Course content

You will work on various radio projects and we get to use your creative skills as well as learn about how to use the live transmission studio.

Entry Requirements

Although no formal qualifications are needed, an interest in broadcasting and community radio production would be essential.

Progression

You can progress onto a level 2 extended certificate or use the skills to find work in a radio station etc.
