About This Course:This course aims to equip students with the skills required to specialise in networking technology. An important feature of this programme is that it allows you to integrate vendor training courses. These cover various vendor certifications including Microsoft, CISCO (CCNA) and CompTIA (A+).

What You Study:Units of study will include: Network Technology, Routing Technology, Switching Technology, Internetworking Technology, Configuring a Desktop Operating system, Troubleshooting a Desktop Operating System , Cloud Computing, Convergence Technologies and Intrusion Prevention Systems.
Optional vendor courses: The CISCO CCNA and the Microsoft MCTIP curricula are embedded within this qualification. Candidates are expected to fund the cost of the vendor certification examinations. Vendor qualifications are certificated in addition to the HND award and significantly enhance candidates’ employability.
After The Course:• Career – an opportunity may arise to get an MA (Modern Apprentice) within a company
• Continuing study – Entry into the first year of related BSc Computing Degree programmes at most universities, for example: Glasgow Caledonian University - Beng/Beng(Hons) Digital Security, Forensics and Ethical Hacking Direct Entry Year 2; BSc/BSc(Hons) Cyber Security and Networks Direct Entry Year 3; University of the West of Scotland - BSc/BSc(Hons) Networking Direct Entry Year 3
