Travel and Tourism (BTEC Diploma)

The level 1 diploma in travel and tourism is designed to offer students an insight into the travel and tourism industry and provides exciting opportunities to explore and discover all aspects of the travel industry

Course content

This qualification has been designed to reflect the skills, knowledge and understanding that are required in the modern travel and tourism industry. Students are given the opportunity to develop a range of skills such as problem solving, working as a member of a team and being able to plan and make decisions.

Entry Requirements

Entry will be by initial assessment to ensure every learner is directed onto the appropriate level of courses. Applicants are required to attend an interview and provide positive school or college reference confirming good levels of attendance and punctuality.

Progression

On completion of the course, students could progress onto the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism or gain an Apprenticeship programme
