Our dynamic Travel and Tourism department offers students the opportunity to study a wide range of units related to the worldwide Travel and Tourism industry . Students will have the opportunity to participate in visits, a residential trip and vocational projects. The course is particularly suited to those students who enjoy both written and practical coursework and who are looking to work in the Travel and Tourism industry or progress to a University course. All the building blocks that you will need including; Investigating Travel and Tourism, The Business of Travel and Tourism, The UK as a Destination, Customer Service in Travel and Tourism, Preparing for Employment , European Travel Destinations, Retail Travel Operations, Entertainment for Holidaymakers, Working as a Children's Holiday Representative, and Events Conferences and Exhibitions. Come on to the Extended Diploma for a second year and study more subjects such as Long-haul Travel Destinations, Investigating the Cruise Industry, Hospitality Operations plus Specialist and Responsible Tourism and many more! All students will also study towards the Worldwide Travel Destinations qualification - essential knowledge! How will I be Taught? Case studies, group and individual activities and practical exercises - create your own Travel and Tourism Business or devise a holiday for a group of friends.
