Teaching and assessment
This course is assessed through continual internal assessment throughout the year and a number of assignments both written and practical. Teaching is through a series of lectures, group discussions and investigations, presentations from outside organisations, hands-on experience with different organisations and practical activities. Students are given plenty of help and direction from staff and are encouraged to undertake their own research and additional reading.
Entry requirements
Compulsory attendance at a college interview and presentation with assessment in English and maths.
Additional course costs
There will be a cost for external trips and visits, to be paid for a the start of the year.
Progression
This course (with a satisfactory attendance and behaviour record) will allow you to progress on to BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism.
Dates and times
This course begins in September. The duration of this course is one year.
