Functional Skills are a mandatory part of the course and you will be required to study either Maths, English or ICT which will be determined by your previous achievements in these subjects. These qualifications are designed to enhance your employment opportunities.
How long is the course?
This is a two year, full-time course.How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through internal and external set assignments that run continuously throughout the course.A range of methods are used including projects, assignments, tests, case studies, residential visits, practical observations, presentations and coursework.
What does the course lead to?
This course provides a route for those who want to pursue a career in outdoor pursuits.It also provides an appropriate background for you to progress to courses in Higher Education at university or the Foundation Degree in Sport available at Vision West Notts.
Entry requirements
You must have either five GCSEs at grade C or above or a relevant Level 2 qualification at Distinction level.Mature learners are considered via interview.
