This programme supports working practice with theoretical knowledge and can contribute towards underpinning knowledge required for the Diploma in Health and Social Care. The approximate duration of this programme is 12 weeks.
How long is the course?
This is a 12-week distance learning course.How will I be assessed?
You will be provided with unitised workbooks and resources. In order to complete the course you will be required to complete all activities for each module contained within the workbooks.What will I study?
The programme consists of 4 modules with a credit value of 8:
- Module 1 - Dementia awareness
- Module 2 - The person-centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia
- Module 3 - Understand the factors that can influence communication and interaction with individuals who have dementia
- Module 4 - Understand equality, diversity and inclusion in dementia care
What does the course lead to?
The programme supports progression to other courses including Diplomas in Health and Social Care.Entry requirements
