Opportunities to extend on English, Maths and ICT are also part of the course.
The Programme Content
This course is ideal for someone who wants to work with children and can learn while training.
Entry Requirements
Entry onto a level 2 programme requires 5 GCSEs at grades
D-G.
You must also have an employer who is willing to support you
through this apprenticeship.
CRB checks will be required but this will be done through your
employer.
Costs
You will need to provide resources for yourself such as folders, dividers, plastic wallets etc and there is a course book which you may find beneficial to have.

Progression
With this qualification you are employable as a Level 2 Childcare Practitioner and we also run a variety of Level 3 programmes including the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Children & Young People's Workforce.
Length of Study
Approximately 1 year.
DBS Checks
As this course requires you to undertake work placements with children and/or vulnerable adults, a DBS check (formerly CRB check) is required. This will be carried out by Petroc prior to you starting the course in September and costs £53. Please click on the following link for
