This two year course is designed to give students a general understanding of business organisations and their main processes. The course features a range of modules covering core business functions.

What qualifications or skills do I require to study this course?

You will need 120 or more UCAS points. These can be made up of at least one full GCE A Level (A2), a BTEC National Diploma/Certificate or equivalent, together with 4 subjects at GCSE at Grade C or above including Maths and English Language or equivalent (ie Functional Skills at L2). Applications will be considered from those applicants who have a number of years of relevant employment experience who may not fully meet the above requirements. Modules studied in Year 1 are: - Developing Professional and Employability Skills - Understanding and Promoting a Business - Finance for Business - Managing People - Business Applications - Business Law. Modules studied in Year 2 are: - Work Based Project (to focus on specialism) - Business Environment - Enterprise - E-business - Global business. Specialist option module (Financial Accounting Sem A; Management Accounting Sem B)

What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? The Foundation Degree can provide progression to the second or third year of a BA (Hons) Degree at University of Hertfordshire in a related field. Successful completion also prepares you to enter careers in a wide variety of industrial, commercial, technological, financial or service businesses, or to specialise in an academic or professional career.
