Who is this course for? This course is designed for those who wish to seek a career in Business or who would like to progress to a Business programme in Higher Education. What qualifications or experience do I need ? Applicants must have the following qualifications: Either 4 GCSE's at grade 'C' or higher in Academic subjects. or a BTEC level 2 qualification (e.g. Btec First in Business) at Merit level. OR appropriate subject and literacy to a Level 2 standard. Ability to pass a test at Level 2 in Communications A positive refernce will also be required. To progress to Year 2, successful completion of Year 1 What will I study ? The course will cover a range of business related subjects including: * The Business Enviroment * Business Resources * Introduction to Marketing * Business Communications A further 8 specialist units are taught covering the Human Resorces, Marketing, Finance and Business Management areas. How will I be assessed ? This course will have an internal on-going assessment through course work. Student workshops are available to help complete coursework. What qualifications could I achieve ? On successful completion of this course, you will achieve a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Business What can the course lead to ? Students who successfully complete this course may be able to progress to an Foundation Degree (2 years) or Degree (3/4 years); alternatively some may choose to move directly into employment.
