This course is aimed at musicians wishing to pursue a career within the contemporary music industry. The course is designed to introduce students to a wide range of musical subjects relevant to working in today's music industry and to foster the development of entrepreneurship through project realisation.
We have long established links with a wide range of industry partners including AVID, Aberdeen Performing Arts and a host of community music organisations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This course is suitable for those with two Highers, including Music, who have completed a non-advanced College course in Music at SCQF level 6. For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry subject to availability. You will be invited to attend an informal audition.
Advanced entry to year 2 is possible for those who have completed 15 credits from an HNC Music course.
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?
This course is aimed at candidates wishing to work within the contemporary music industry, and is designed to introduce candidates to a wide range of musical subjects.
Please note: Students are required to supply their own headphones.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
This course is mainly assessed on a continuous basis. Coursework takes the form of performances, essays, reports, presentations, case studies and practical projects. Most of the assessment of student work is undertaken by College staff.
PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Employment opportunities may include employment as performers, promoters, technicians, producers and composers.
