This apprenticeship covers roles across the electrical installation profession, including maintenance electrician and electrical installer. You will earn as you learn and could be involved in a range of activities from installing Electrotechnical systems to electrical installations for buildings. You will also learn about the electrical installation industry and the types of careers available.

This apprenticeship will provide you with the competence, skills and knowledge to work effectively and efficiently with electrical systems, electrical installations and wiring. As you progress through your apprenticeship you will go from learning about the basics of electrics to installing complex electrical systems and providing technical support to a range of clients.

What next

You may be able to continue working for your employer, or seek other employment opportunities within the industry, in a number of roles such as an electrical engineer. You may also be able to progress to a higher education course in a related subject.

Entry requirements

To enrol on this course you must be capable of achieving Level 2 in Maths, IT and English.
