This first year course combines kitchen and restaurant experience in our two fully operating kitchens and restaurants. Students will work towards a qualification in Catering whilst improving their Maths and English qualifications. An additional Food Safety Certificate and Barista Skills Qualification will also be studied for. City and Guilds L2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (professional Cookery) Functional Skills in English and Maths or GCSE resits Barista Qualification Food Hygiene Qualification How will I be Taught? Teaching will be predominantly in the practical environment gaining valuable experience. How will I be Assessed? The units will be assessed using multiple choice tests and practical observations.
