Who is this course for? This course is intended for students with learning difficulties wishing to follow a vocational path in catering. What qualifications or experience do I need ? You will have an interest in working in the busy catering environment. You will have some basic literacy skills and a learning level of Milestone 8 to Entry 1 What will I study ? This course offers the following modules: Health and Safety Practical cooking in a Catering Kitchen Catering and Food Hygeine Theory and Practice Personal Development Literacy and Numeracy Work experience and working in a training restaurant Group Tutorial How will I be assessed ? Base line assessment with initial assessment form. Individual Learning Plan. What qualifications could I achieve ? Essential skills qualification/college certificate of attendance. What can the course lead to ? The next level of the course is Entry Level Catering How do I join the course ? Complete and return to the Course Leader the yellow student information and learning needs form and enrolment form to Sandra Docherty. Will I need an interview ? Yes. Are there any extra costs for equipment/materials ? �3-�5 per week and purchase of catering uniform and footwear Further Information All necessary paperwork must be completed before the student starts, including initial assessment and medical forms.
