All the basics of core science, from microbes to the big bang. AQA GCSE Science B is based on four units, unit 4 is the controlled assessment, an essay and practical on a topic relating to scientific enquiry. Unit 1 to 3 are based on the GCSE content. This is a mixed science course, so you will study some physics, chemistry and biology. This course is intended to place science in context, to relate science to real life. How will I be Taught? In class using a variety of resources. Practical activities and in class assessments. Based on one 3 hour lesson per week. How will I be Assessed? Unit 4 is a controlled assessment, practical and write up are class based. Unit 1 to 3 are assessed by exams in June. Each unit is worth 25% of final mark. What our students say?
