will I Study? Our aim is to assist in the development of your
potential and prepare you for a successful management career in the
hospitality and events industry. To this end, the programme has a
strong college-based practical component where you will gain
hands-on experience in the College’s restaurants and kitchens. This
together with academic studies and work-based learning are integral
to this foundation degree. Year 1 Module Summary: Introduction to
Events Operations, Quality Systems and Customer Service, Human
Resources Management, Study Skills and Research methods, Food
Production, Restaurant and Banqueting and Personal Development.
Year 2 Module Summary: Event Management, Marketing and Sales
Development, Financial Management, Management Skills and
Development, Rooms Division, Work Based Project and Personal
Development. How will I be Taught? We offer a supportive learning
environment with the first year focusing on under pinning knowledge
of the industry and exposure to the real work environment within
our college restaurant and kitchen. There will be a mixture of
lectures, case studies, guest speakers, industry visits and work
experience. How will I be Assessed? A mixture of course work,
projects, live events and module tests will be used to assess you
