Full TimeYou will study the following mandatory units:
Level 3 Communication Skills for Access to HE
Level 3 Delivering an Oral Presentation
Level 3 Extended Essay/project
Plus 3 level 3 credits from the Communication / Study Skills
module
Level 2 Mathematics
In addition 9 credits at level 3 from each of three optional
Academic subject modules will be taken from:
Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, English, History, Philosophy, Ethics, Media, Criminology, Geography- subject to amendment. This will be advised by the tutor.

How you will gain the qualification
You will produce coursework which includes essays, seminar presentations, Academic posters short research papers and sometimes quizzes. There are no end of year exams but exam practice is provided. To be awarded an Access to HE Diploma, 60 credits must be achieved, which include a number of mandatory credits.
What qualifications you need
There are no formal entry requirements to join these courses. However, you should have at least three years of relevant life skills and/or employment experience gained after compulsory education. You will also be required to provide a personal statement prior to being interviewed for your course.
