Level 3 Awarding Body OCNNER Course Details The course prepares
learners for the challenges and rigours of study at university by
developing a wide range of relevant study skills. The Access to HE
Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification and provides an
entry route for adults wishing to study Higher Education. To obtain

Level 3 Awarding Body OCNNER Course Details The course prepares

developing a wide range of relevant study skills. The Access to HE
Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification and provides an
entry route for adults wishing to study Higher Education. To obtain
an Access to HE Diploma candidates will need to achieve 45 credits
at Level 3 and 15 credits at Level 2. Subjects studied will include
core units; English and Maths. Plus specialist units; Access
Project, Health Promotion, Professional Practice, Human Biology,
Psychology, Sociology of Health and Core Science. Pathways are
matched to your intended career destination. A Course for Mature
students who wish to progress to a number of degree programmes and
do not have current study hours or the required qualifications.
This course is not suitable for school leavers; please contact the
College for other relevant courses. Entry Requirements No formal
qualifications are specified, however if you wish to progress to
certain degree programmes (eg midwifery) GCSE Maths and English at
Grade C is required. Completion of written assessment to achieve:
Level 1 Maths and Level 2 English. Informal interview is
required. Basic IT skills will be an advantage. Advanced CRB
check is also required prior to study of care related
degree/diploma at University. Assessment Based on attendance and
achievement. All study is classroom based and assessment is a
mixture of scenario-based assignments, essays, presentations,
projects and portfolios. Learning Outcome Successful candidates
will be awarded a QAA approved Access to HE Diploma.
