Essential Diploma in Hair and Media Make-up

This course is a practical course underpinned by anatomy, physiology, and communications for the hair and beauty therapy industry.

Entry Requirements

A minimum of four GCSEs at grade D or above which include English and Mathematics or a suitable qualification at Level 1 in Beauty or Salon Services. All applicants will require an additional assessment plus a satisfactory reference and student profile.

Delivery & Assessment methods

Assessment is on-going throughout the length of the course taking the form of practical observations, research tasks, reports, presentations, assignments, case studies and online multiple choice knowledge tests. Samples of work are internally verified (IV) on a regular basis and are also externally verified (EV) by an assessor from the awarding body. Notice of external verifiers visits will be given and, if necessary, you may be required to attend a meeting with the EV which could be outside your normal college attendance hours.
