Hair and Media Make-up Level 2 Diploma

This course is for those who wish to enter the media make-up industry. You will develop your knowledge and skills of makeup, beauty and hairdressing services required for this industry.

The course covers a wide range of treatments, including makeup, body art, hair colouring and styling, eyelash and brow treatments, client care and consultation. You will work on a range of models of different ages, gender and ethnicity to develop your competence to work on all clients.

You will develop your competence in practical skills for aspects of Hair and Media Makeup Level 2. The course will provide a vocational qualification that enhances your employability and progression onto future courses.

Entry criteria is 5 GCSE grade C and above, including English and by successful interview.

Applicants over 18 may be considered following a successful interview with an emphasis on life skills, employer references, previous education and communication skills. Applicants may be considered with a completed Level 1 in Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing and Functional Skills.

It is essential to purchase personal equipment and salon work wear costing £600 approx.

Following successful completion of Level 2 you could progress onto the Level 3 Hair and Media Make-up course or employment in a variety of sectors including retail and self-employment.
