A Level Maths (Mechanics)
Students will spend two thirds of their time studying core mathematics; this is primarily the topics of algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus.
The rest of the time will be spent studying the option module of statistics. If you are studying AS Physics you must choose Mechanics. Additional support is available to provide extra support for students. Students must maintain an attendance of above 85% for entry to exams

Delivery & Assessment methods
Each module is externally assessed by means of a single written paper of duration 1 hour and 30 minutes, carrying a total of 75 marks. Core 1 examination is normally taken in January. All other exams are taken in June. Candidates can resit modules in the January and June examination series during the course, with the highest mark counting towards the qualification.
