Description
This two week course aims to explore aspects of stakeholder involvement in language development. Two key aspects concern:
- Partnership with a language community
- Capacity building in a language community as a strategy for sustainable language development.
It can be taken directly after the ART course or, more usually, following an 18-24 month first assignment to an internship role in SIL. Thus it would normally be taken as required training towards a specialist role.
It can also be taken as part of the Postgraduate Diploma stage of either our MA Field Linguistics or MA Literacy Programme Development.
