All students will be required to attend an interview prior to acceptance onto the programme.

  • Completion of written assignments
  • Teaching practice observations x8 - (1hr each)
  • Regular attendance
  • 120 hours (minimum) of teaching practice.

Means tested funding may be available from Student Finance England - see useful links.

Entry Requirements

  • The Diploma requires at least 150 hours of teaching practice, spread over the 2 years
  • Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2
  • Specialist knowledge / qualification in the subject to be taught, at level 3.

QTLS may be claimed through IfL on successful completion of the course.

Next Dates

2 years - 3 hrs (yr1) and 4 hrs (yr2) per session + tutorials

Total cost £1599 (1st year − £774, 2nd year − £825). Means tested funding may be available.
