Through the core units, the course offers the opportunity to investigate local and national media industries and will provide you with an introduction to planning and making media products.These products could include making videos, using Final Cut Pro, camera operation and making programmes. The programme enables you to progress onto a variety of advanced courses, for example, media, graphic design, music or performing arts.Entry requirements
Applicants must have a literacy qualification at Level 1, supported by a general education equivalent to at least four GCSEs at grade D. You must also provide evidence of skills and enthusiasm for the media area.You will be required to attend an interview with media staff and take an active part in a workshop.
All applicants progressing from Level 1 programme must be able to show evidence of a high standard of commitment to the programme and its demands.
