It is a very practical qualification. Mandatory units: Introducing Media products and audiences. Communicating in the IT Industry. Working in the IT Industry. Other units you will complete: 2D Games Development You will design and plan a character and plan a level in a computer game. 2D Games production You will produce a character and a level in a computer game. Installing Computer Hardware Develop knowledge, understanding and skills in the installation of hardware components in a computer system. Developing Computer Games Develop knowledge, understanding and skills required in coding computer games and their different genres. Entry Requirements Four GCSEs at grades D-E or above, including Maths and English, or Level 1 IT. Assessment A combination of in-course assessment and practical activities. Learning Outcome OCR Cambridge Technical Certificate or Diploma Level 2. Progression after Programme achieved This course is a stepping stone for a level 3 programme in Computer or Interactive Media or can be used to gain employment in these vocational areas.
