This is a modular course with assessment through practical projects, giving you a valuable experience of working to professional design briefs. Many opportunities are given to liaise with professional clients and design bodies.
You may also have the opportunity to go on local, national or foreign trips to broaden your creative horizons and opportunities, experiencing interactive media at work in a variety of contexts.
How long is the course?
This is a two year full-time course. Participation in some evening events also forms a necessary part of the HND. You will also need to dedicate a substantial amount of time to research and study outside of the classroom.How will I be assessed?
Assessment methods are varied and include written reports, presentations, critiques, portfolios, practical projects and professional design briefs.

Completion of this course will enable you to progress into a range of careers and employment opportunities, including website design, animation, film, digital sound, interface design, game design, video editing, photography, graphic design or illustration.What can I go on to study?
Upon successful achievement of this qualification you may wish to top-up your HND by studying a further year at a university to gain a full honours degree (subject to entry requirements).Other related courses at the college

Entry requirements
Ideally, you will have a BTEC Extended Diploma in a relevant subject or two A Level passes (one should preferably be design related).All applicants will be invited to an interview to discuss qualifications, experience and any other related issues.
Applicants with appropriate experience, who can demonstrate a commitment to pursue a specialist area of study, would also be welcomed onto this course. However, literacy at Level 2 is an essential requirement and numeracy at Level 2 is desirable.
