Interactive Media (Web Development) HND

The HND Interactive Media is a practical based course will give you an opportunity to explore your creative design skills as well as developing the technical skills to implement your design in a web environment. Students will be given an opportunity to work on real life projects and will be working with real clients. This will give you an in-depth understanding of what to expect when working within a webrelated role for an employer. Year two focuses on the importance of adhering to professional and legal standards when working in the web environment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This course is suitable for those with Highers, who have successfully completed the HNC College course. For those returning to education, life skills and experience in the workplace may allow entry subject to availability.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This course is designed for students who would like to specialise in the Interactive Media and Web development aspects of the computer industry. It is ideal for those with a natural flair for design and creation of Interactive Media and provides an in-depth start to either further study or a professional life.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

This course is mainly assessed on a continuous basis and coursework takes the form of essays, reports, presentations, case studies and practical projects. Most of the assessment of student work is undertaken by College staff.

PROGRESSION ROUTES / CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

On successful completion of the course, students can progress directly to third year of nominated degree courses. Career opportunities may include employment as web designers or multimedia application developers
