This is the Central YMCA qualification required by employers for people who wish to become a gym instructor.

You will learn about using free weights, CV equipment and resistance machines to plan and deliver safe and effective one to one and group gym sessions.

How long is the course?

One day per week for 10 weeks study plus an assessment at the end.

There will be a practical assessment and observation as well as an external test on anatomy and physiology.
