The course content covers practical elements such as assisting with the maintenance and preparation of animal accommodation and assisting with the feeding and care of animals.

You will also study Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT.

What does the course lead to?

Upon completion you could gain employment in a role related to the skills and knowledge you develop on the course.

What can I go on to study?

After successful completion you could opt to progress to a related Level 1 course available at Vision West Notts.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but an interest in working with animals is desirable. You will be expected to complete an assessment to demonstrate that you are working at an appropriate level.
