Introduction to Animal Care (Entry 3)

If you have a love for animals, are hardworking and would like to pursue a career working with animals then this course is for you. You will learn about how to care for different types of animals as well as their health and welfare requirements. You will also develop the workplace skills required by employers so that you are prepared to embark on a career in Animal Care.

What does the course involve?

On this course you will learn how to care for a range of domestic animals. You will learn the following skills: How to safely handle small animals, Recognise housing and bedding for small animals, Recognise different types and breeds of animals, Study and research skills, Communication and numeracy skills

What option will be open to me if I successfully complete the course? Upon successful completion of this course students can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Animal care or a Level 2 diploma in another care related subject.
