On the Level 2 course, you will learn how to use manual and computerised accounting systems for purchase ledger, sales ledger and the general ledger.
How long is the course?
One or two years. This is a part-time course with two options:Over one year: Either a full day or two evenings
Over two years: A morning, afternoon or evening session
What will I study?
Modules include:
- Recording income and receipts
- Making and recording payments
- Preparing ledger balances
- Supplying information for management control
- Working with computers
- The maintenance of a healthy, safe and productive environment
- Achieving personal effectiveness
- Processing business transactions
- Preparing an inital trail balance
- Reconciliation of a cash book
- Maintaing control over debtors and creditors
- Developing effective working in an acconting environment
- Cost recording systems
- Provide information for management
- Using computerised accounting

What does the course lead to?
Upon completion, you will be able to gain employment as a trainee accountant, purchase ledger clerk or sales ledger clerk.What can I go on to study?
