Course Code: H4416 Course Length: One year - Tuesday or Friday Entry Requirements:

You will need to have achieved the Certificate in Accounting, Pitman Level 2 or have a working knowledge of double entry book keeping. Working in the area of accountancy is desirable but not essential. It is hihly advisable to complete the AAT skillscheck, this is available at www.aat.org.uk .

Core Skills:

Modules studied for this widely respected qualification include Financial accounting, Recording and analysing costs and revenues, Cash Management, Spreadsheets, Indirect Tax, and Professional ethics for accounting technicians (new unit).

Academic Progression:

You can progress to the AAT Diploma Level 4 programme.

Full Description:

This AAT qualification - the middle part of the full AAT Qualification - is competence-based and does not have the workplace evidence requirement of NVQ programmes. It is streamlined and flexible and includes a new Professional Ethics for Accounting Technicians unit: a market-leading innovation much valued by employers. The programme delivers a high level of practical skills, knowledge and effective performance in the workplace and gives progression to AAT full membership and the UK chartered accountancy qualifications.
