Credit and UCAS requirements Credit: 20 credits CostsThe full cost of the module is £470. If you are a continuing UoC student you are entitled to a 20% discount on your first postgraduate course.

Course summaryThe main aim of this module is to engage students in a series of critical debates; providing students with a knowledge and understanding of a number of ethical and practical issues that they may face within their workplace. The module aims to encourage students to identify the conflicts and complexities that may be encountered in practice and to identify strategies to deal with such experiences.
The module will enable students to develop a number of skills including (but not limited to) critical thinking, planning and organising, reflection, problem solving, communication and occupational awareness.
Topics and indicative module content:
- Ethics and practical issues in practice (applicable to a range of settings)
- Equality and diversity in a professional context
- Power relations, liability, confidentiality and public protection, coercion and consent.
- Bullying and harassment in professional settings
- Issues relating to competent practice e.g. integrity, respect and responsibility.
