Graduate quote

Jameson Mola, S&C at Bath Rugby

“The experiences I have gained through the Applied Sports Science course have been priceless. I have worked in Premiership rugby, with international and Olympic-level junior athletes, Championship and League 1 professional football clubs and Olympic team sports. These opportunities led me to successfully apply for a 10-week intern position in the USA recently. These amazing opportunities would not have been possible without the support of the sport science staff which has provided me with the solid foundation to leave Solent University and start a career in sport science.”

Industry quote

Nick Harvey, Strength and Conditioning Lead, Southampton FC

“We have had several Solent University Graduates at SFC on part time internships within the Sports Science Department. This has allowed the students to gain valuable experience working within a multidisciplinary sports science and medicine team at a Championship and now Premiership football club. Duties include assisting in the delivery of S & C sessions and recovery and monitoring protocols such as Hydration testing and GPS Data collection and analysis. We have been delighted with the application and quality provided by our interns and hope to develop an ongoing relationship with Solent University’s Sport and Exercise science department moving forward.”
