Teaching and assessment
Students will be assessed using a variety of assessment methods including completion of assignments, completion of training diaries and observation of practical skills. Students will experience a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
Entry requirements
4 GCSEs at grades A*-C including English and maths, or full BTEC Level 2 Diploma (merit).
Compulsory attendance at a college interview and presentation with assessment in English and maths.
Additional course costs
There will be a resource fee that will need to be paid at enrolment. This will cover a programme uniform and training kit, educational visits and general resources.
Progression
This course is equivalent to 3 AS levels, which means you can progress to a second year course called Extended Diploma in Sport, which then accesses you Higher Education. Alternatively, you can look to obtain suitable employment.
