Special features

The course is part of a wider programme of Adult Social Care which includes Social Housing, and enables you to undergo common inter-professional learning within three of the units. A particular feature of the award is an innovative approach to a dissertation or major project in which students from each profession will work collaboratively to research an aspect of inter-professional working that is of concern to them and/or their organisation. Southampton Solent University has close working relationships with agency partners and with two local service user groups who are involved in providing advice, teaching and assessment on the course.

Options available

Standard route

The standard part-time route incorporates University based study on Thursdays and Fridays at approximately two-weekly intervals, with some gaps to allow students to complete written and practice assignments.
