Ladies and Gents Hairdressing Level 2 Diploma

This course is for those who would like a career in hairdressing. You will develop your knowledge and skills of hairdressing services and treatments working in our commercial salon. The course covers a wide range of treatments, client care and consultation, styling, and understanding hair growth and growth patterns.

You will learn to cleanse and condition, cut and style, colour and permanently wave hair. You will work on a range of clients of different ages, genders and ethnicities to develop your competence to work on all clients. You will also learn theory to complement your practical work.

This course consists of a mixture of practical and commercial classes, theory projects, independent study, tutorial sessions and assessments. Work experience is also an important element of this course.

This course gives you the professional training you need for the next step in your career, allowing you to progress into the industry. Working in our Francesco Salon will allow you to gain first-hand experience of a commercial salon and gain excellent skills in all elements of styling hair. This vocational qualification will enhance your chances of employment and progression onto future courses.

Level 1 Hairdressing and Functional Skills or entry by successful interview with an emphasis on life skills, employer references, previous education and communication skills. It is essential to purchase personal equipment and salon work wear costing £400-£500.

You could progress into employment as a trainee hairdresser within a commercial salon or onto our Level 3 hairdressing course, or our Level 2/3 in Hair and Media Make up course.
