Entry Requirements
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade D or above which include English and Mathematics or a suitable qualification at Level 1 in Hairdressing. All applicants will require a satisfactory reference and student profile.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Assessment is on-going throughout the length of the course taking the form of practical observations, research tasks, reports, presentations, case studies and online multiple choice knowledge tests. Samples of work are internally verified (IV) on a regular basis and are also externally verified (EV) by an assessor from the awarding body. Notice of external verifiers visits will be given and, if necessary, you may be required to attend a meeting with the EV which could be outside your normal college attendance hours.
Progression
Following successful completion of certificate you will be required to enrol onto the diploma to study the technical elements of hairdressing units: *Colour and lighten hair *Promoting products and services Create an image based on a theme Further options include: Level 3 Diploma in Barbering or Diploma in Level 2 Hairdressing.
