Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma (Fast track)

This is an opportunity to study for a professional accountancy qualification in under one year. We cover the requirements of the Association of Accounting Technicians at Levels 2 and 3. This is a qualification for people wanting a career in accountancy who wish to follow a route into employment. It is also suitable for people who wish to change careers.

You gain practical skills in accounting, underpinned by thorough knowledge that will help you to achieve success in the workplace. At Level 2 you start to develop your skills in double entry book keeping and gain a grasp of management and administrative processes. You will learn basic costing principles, computerised accounting systems and how to work with Purchase Sales and Main ledgers. At Level 3 you are introduced to more complex tasks such as preparing final accounts for sole traders and partnerships. You also learn how to maintain financial and cost accounting records and use financial spreadsheets.

You will learn practical skills in the classroom through interactive teaching and presentations. You work independently and in small groups with support from tutors. The course is modular with assessments taking place throughout the year which involve computer-based tests and projects.

You will gain a qualification that is valued by employers, the opportunity to specialise in accountancy subjects and will be well on the way to a pathway towards Chartered qualifications.

Five GCSEs grades A* - C including English Language and Maths.

You could progress to the AAT Level 4 Diploma in Accounting or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) professional qualifications.
