Accounting Certificate Level 2 (Foundation Stage) Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Awarding Body: AAT Course Details The course covers: Basic accounting 1. Basic accounting 2. Basic costing. Working effectively in accounting and finance. Computerised accounting. A Course for Trainee Accountancy Technicians and those individuals who have an interest in pursuing a career in accountancy. Entry Requirements Students are required to register with the Association. Anyone employed or otherwise is eligible to register and no formal entry requirements are necessary, however, good numeracy and communication skills are desirable. Students with no background or experience in accountancy are advised to start at the Accounting Certificate Level 2. Assessment There are five computer based assessments. Learning Outcome The AAT is recognised throughout the business world as a credible and established professional body. It is a qualification which accurately reflects competence in the work place and continues to bear the hallmarks of quality and high standards. Progression after Programme On successful completion of the AAT Accounting Certificate Level 2 students may progress to the AAT Accounting Diploma Level 3.
