Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (7304) BTEC Certificate Level 3 (CTLLS) Subject to Change Awarding Body: Edexcel Course Details This is a teaching qualification which gives you the opportunity to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. It develops the ability for you to reflect on your previous experience and skills, identify principles of learning, develop your communication and interpersonal skills, and give you an awareness of professional roles and responsibilities. It studies the theoretical and practical aspects of teaching/training. The Programme will cover: Planning and Enabling Learning. Principles and Practice of Assessment. Equality and Diversity. A Course for Those who would like to gain a teaching qualification, and who work or want to work in the Lifelong Learning Sector, ie Further, Adult or community education, work based learning or the voluntary sector. Technicians and support staff in further and adult education. Trainers in industry public sector uniformed services or HM forces. Entry Requirements You must have achieved the PTLLS award; either the BTEC Award in Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector or a 7303 course in the last 2 years, which can be accredited partially towards this Certificate. Applicants must have a minimum of a full-width level 3 qualification in the subject which they wish to teach, eg NVQ level 3. Assessment By assignments covering both theoretical and practical aspects of teaching and learning; also 30 hours of teaching practice. This may be paid or voluntary.It is the responsibility of the student to find these hours. Learning Outcome BTEC Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. Progression after Programme Certificate in Education / PGCE. Credits from the CTLLS will be awarded towards the Cert Ed/PGCE.
