Course Content

The Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector is for anyone working in a teaching role without a qualification, or planning to become a teacher in further, adult or continuing education.

To do this qualification you will need access to 30 hours of teaching practice in a recognised lifelong learning location.

• Understanding Inclusive Learning and Teaching in Lifelong Learning
• Principles of Assessment in Lifelong Learning

• Quality procedures within the Lifelong Learning sector
• Understanding and Managing behaviours in a learning environment

Course Update

The Level 4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector – 6304 is not a recognised teaching qualification to become a full-time or associate lecturer in FE in Northern Ireland or to obtain registration with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland. A further approved teacher training qualification needs to be achieved.
