Level 3 Cambridge Technical in Business

We have successfully run courses in Business and Administration for over 17 years. Our students are much sought after by employers and have excellent destinations. For September 2013 we are delighted to also offer the new Cambridge Technicals in Business at level 2 and level 3, as additions to our full-time course provision.

The Cambridge Technical qualifications have been developed by OCR building on their links with the University of Cambridge and also working with employers. Businesses are the heart of the economy and the aim of these new qualifications is to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding in a context that is directly relevant to employment situations.

Course Content

On the Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma course you will study core units in:

• The Business Environment
• Business Resources
• Marketing

You will also complete additional units which will include:

• Business Communication – developing your skills and reviewing the performance of different types of business communication
• Internet Marketing in Business – how the internet is used for marketing and the impact it can have
• Recruitment and Selection in Business – the complete recruitment process within a business
• Developing Teams in Business – understanding the dynamics of teamwork and motivation
• Development Planning for a Career in Business.

This qualification is assignment based with no examinations. You can determine and aim for your own achievement level – Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*. Plus the Level 3 course also has UCAS points.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at grades A - C including English at Grade B and Maths at Grade C or above.
