Practically every organisation needs office staff (administrators) and a Business and Administration Apprenticeship will give you a wide range of essential business and IT skills. You will have training and assessment in your place of work and at college. Qualifications include the OCR Certificate NVQ in Business and Administration, OCR Certificate in the Principles of Business and Administration and the BCS ECDL.

Course Content
The programme comprises a wide range of units for you to choose from, including gaining skills such as producing documents, using databases, spreadsheets, business presentations and communication skills.
The Apprenticeship programme offers a great way to gain vocational training, qualifications and a wage at the same time. The programme is a three−way partnership between you, your employer and your training provider.
Your apprenticeship will involve completing an NVQ in Business and Administration, IT qualifications and a Technical Certificate and functional skills in English and Maths.
College Day - Thursdays.
Entry Requirements
Available to young people aged between 16−24 who are leaving or have left full−time education. Before the start of the training programme candidates will need to find a company which is happy to employ a trainee.
What Next?
Work as an Administrative Assistant / Administrator.
Advanced Apprenticeship or NVQ.

Price
While you are on an Apprenticeship, your employer pays you a salary and supports you whilst you undertake your training.
The National Apprenticeship Service will pay the costs of your training depending on your age.
