Engineering Access to Higher Education Diploma Level 3 Awarding Body OCNNER Course Details To obtain an Access to HE Diploma candidates will need to achieve 60 credits in total; 54 credits at Level 3 and 6 credits at Level 2. Subjects studied will include core units: Mathematics, Mechanical Science and Electrical Principles. The programme will introduce learners to the process of academic study in a way that encourages confidence, achievement and self esteem. Programme content will enable learners to develop relevant, subject specific knowledge. The modular pathways are planned to help learners achieve the entry criteria for higher education and career related pathways. The Engineering pathway will allow access to a range of engineering and related degree programmes leading to careers in a range of engineering disciplines. Entry Requirements Completion of assessments to achieve Level 2 in Mathematics. Basic IT skills. Assessment Based upon achievement. A mixture of assignments, projects and portfolios. Learning Outcome Successful candidates will be awarded a QAA approved Access to HE Diploma. Progression after Programme Learners are encouraged to apply for a relevant Engineering related Degree at university.
