NB. Appropriately qualified and experienced students may enter directly on to Year 2 of the programme as a bridging course from, for example, CGLI Craft Studies, Part III, subject to agreement of Course Team. These students would be awarded a Certificate of Achievement (not a Level 3 Diploma) which may permit entry to a BTEC Higher National Certificate course.
How you will gain the qualification
Student attainment is assessed by continuous assessment through written phase tests and assignments with written end tests in some units at the end of each year.
What qualifications you need
5 GCSEs A* - C including Maths (higher tier), English and Science
BTEC Level 2 Diploma in a related subject at Merit level.
Where to next
Success in the BTEC Level 3 Diploma course or the bridging element thereof, would qualify students for progression to the Higher National Certificate course and subsequently, to Higher National Diploma or Degree Studies.
