Building Studies Higher National Certificate An Award of Teesside University delivered in partnership with Redcar & Cleveland College Course Details Redcar & Cleveland College working in partnership with Teesside University. This is a course which will be suitable for those students currently working in the construction industry in a technical position. This is a two year part time modular course. In the first year of the course the following units will be covered: Construction Technology. Health, Safety & Welfare. Management Principles & Application. Medium and High Rise Construction. In the second year of the course the following units will be covered: Group Project. Tendering and Estimating. Design Principles and Application. Construction, Science and Materials. A Course for Prospective higher technicians in architecture, building management, building control, quantity surveying, building surveying and many other technician/management positions. This course explores both the construction of new properties and the adaptation and conservation of existing buildings. You will investigate all aspects of construction from inception of a project to completion. Entry Requirements Applicants should have one of the following: BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Building Studies, Building Services Engineering or Civil Engineering studies or 2 Advanced GCEs or An equivalent qualification.
